Dr. Andreas Kassler, Researcher at the University of Ulm in Germany.

fracomp is a program for compressing images using the fractal transfrom and has additionally features for image processing.

Fracomp can import and export several image formats like TIFF, GIF, JPEG, BMP, and can filter (high- amd lowpass), reduce colors and and and. Please read the Online-Help for further information. fracomp uses for fractal image compression algorithms partly developed by Y. Fisher (see DISCLAIM.TXT). To process color images, several add-ins were developed Main features are:

To install this program first expand Source1.zip into a directory called Disk1, then  expand Source2.zip into a directory called Disk2.  The run Setup.exe from the Disk1 directory.

To use this program you probably need a knowledge of German, or at least a German dictionary; I included it despite this because there is so little available software for fractals.
