Tomographical modes
These modes where designed by Prof. Takehiko Aso Dept. of Electrical Engineering Kyoto University.
The objective of these modes where to get as large volume as possible to be seen from all
available stations simultaneously. This is to make the results of
tomography
valid in as large region as possible.
The images below dislays the approximate field of view
for the different stations att 100 km altitude.
South mode
Field of view at 100 km altitude.
Core mode
Field of view at 100 km altitude.
North mode
Field of view at 100 km altitude.
Notes on the field of view plots
- Note the different scale in north - south direction between the different images.
- Note the different field of views station #5 & #6 ~ 90 degr f.o.v.
and station #1 - #4 ~ 75 degr f.o.v. This is related to the Japaneese joint campaigns whith the
japaneesecameras beeing equipped with optics with larger field of view.
- Note the different steering of the cameras #4 - #6 - Azimut and elevation and station #1 - #3 gaussian
