We study the dynamical evolution of near-Earth asteroids (NEAs), with a focus on those that manage to reach very low heliocentric distances. We investigate the most important resonant mechanisms that affect the orbits of the asteroids and deliver them close to the Sun, as well as the timescales involved. Finally, we will present a probabilistic assessment of the possible orbital histories of NEAs of given orbital elements and absolute magnitude.
