Planetary solar wind charge exchange X-ray emissions
Wherever the solar wind encounters neutrals, solar wind charge exchange (SWCX) X-rays are produced when highly charged ions in the solar wind charge exchange with the neutrals.
Here we review observations and modeling of the phenomena, with a focus on Venus, Mars, and the Moon.
