Abstract
Suprathermal electrons play an important role in energy budget in the ionosphere through elastic and inelastic collisions with other particles. However, measurement of suprathermal electrons have been thought to be difficult due to some problems and technical difficulties. We have developed an instrument to measure electron energy distribution function in the range from thermal to suprathermal energy. In this talk, I will show the detail principle of our instrument and some observational results as well as a brief review of measurement techniques of low-energy (thermal) electrons.
