Construction of the Canadian Resolute Bay Incoherent Scatter Radar (RISR-C)

RISR-C is the the third Advanced Modular Incoherent Scatter Radar (AMISR), a phased array ISR, manufactured by SRI International. It is currently in the final stages of construction and is scheduled to become operational this summer. This presentation will give a pictorial review of the manufacture, construction and installation of RISR-C along with a brief discussion of the unique challenges of building a phased array and the future operational plans for the facility.
