Remote sensing of Earth's environment

This presentation is planned as an introduction to remote sensing of Earth's environment. It will give an overview over the powerful tools to survey, investigate and protect Earth's environment offered by remote sensing techniques.
After an introduction to the basic idea of remote sensing there will be a number of applications presented covering agriculture, disaster management, land use/land cover, oceanography, geology and more.

The presentation is thought to be like a public seminar, so everybody is welcome.
