************************ COLOUR INDEX DATA ****************************** * from the visible spectrometer of IUP/Uni-Heidelberg operated at IRF, * * Kiruna (68 degrees N, 20 degrees E) * * The files contain the start time, stop time, solar zenith angle, * * solar azimuth, and ratio of the average intensities at approximately * * 680 nm and 380 nm * * in the solar zenith angle range from 85 to 99 degrees * * * * !!! DATA VALIDITY IS NOT CHECKED !!! * ************************************************************************* NOTE 1. The spectrometer has been subject to technical service during extended periods in the winter of 1999-2000. Curves that show no variation with solar zenith angle indicate a constant dark current signal due to heating of the detector to +30 degrees C for removal of water vapour. Normal working temperature is -30 degrees C. 2. The plotting routines were reimplemented during the spring of 2003 after a change of the main computer in the autumn of 2002. The quality of the present data (from March 2003) is uncertain.
