Plans of a new Extremely Large Telescope in MoroccoPlans of a new Extremely Large Telescope in Morocco
ESO, the European South Observatorium decided to investigate the best location for a new Extremely Large Teslescope in 2004. Four countries were selected for this location; Chile, Argentina, Spain (Canaria) and Morocco. The decision will be taken in the end of the year 2009.
Professor Abdelmajid Benhida, from Université Cadi Ayyad, Marrakech, Morocco, will give a short presentation of the ELT-site testing in Morocco at Mountain Aklim.
